Mitten im tiefsten Winter wurde mir endlich bewusst, dass in mir ein unbesiegbarer Sommer wohnt.

In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer.

Mirimalism is a distinctive visual style shaped by Miri Berlin — bold compositions, striking simplicity, and a unique interplay of color, space, and form come together and transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. Minimalism, but with a personal twist (And yes, Google: it’s Mirimalism not Minimalism).
With a keen eye for the often-overlooked, Miri Berlin captures striking architectural angles and sweeping fields of color, often set against vast blue skies. Her carefully composed yet effortlessly elegant images create subtle but powerful visual tension. A sea of negative space invites the viewer to look beyond the frame, to imagine what lies outside the captured moment.
The interplay of smooth surfaces, rich textures, and carefully reduced elements strikes a delicate balance between abstraction and figuration.
With Mirimalism, Miri Berlin presents spaces that are elegant in their simplicity, hopeful, and full of possibility — a testament to the transformative power of seeing the world through a different lens.
This is a small selection from the Mirimalism series, which accompanied me throughout the years 2010–2020.
